Founders Message

Twenty years ago, I founded Andean Dream with a simple dream and a great deal of passion. What began as an idea grew into an incredible adventure, and I have been so fortunate to spend these past two decades building this company and sharing our gluten free quinoa products with people who believe, as I do, that food can be both delicious and good for you. It has been a truly rewarding journey, filled with wonderful experiences, and so many memories that I will always cherish.

As I look back on the journey of Andean Dream, I am filled with gratitude for all that we accomplished, with my partner Klaus, my assistant Jackie and, most of all, for the wonderful customers who supported us along the way.

What began as an idea inspired by my husband, Fernando Lazcano Dunn, former Consul General of Bolivia, grew into a company with a purpose close to our hearts: to create value-added products using Royal Quinoa sourced from Bolivia, while helping create greater opportunities for the indigenous communities where this remarkable ingredient originated.

I want to thank our customers and retailers for your support, trust, and enthusiasm over the years have meant more to me than I can express. Every purchase, every kind word, and every person who shared Andean Dream with family and friends helped make this journey possible. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of the Andean Dream family.

Today, I am turning the reins of Andean Dream over to Andean Dream Foods, LLC. I am confident that they will carry the company forward with the same care and commitment that have been at the heart of the business from the beginning.

A Message from Andean Dream’s New Owners

We are proud to carry forward the company Ingrid founded twenty years ago. As a family business, we are beginning this new chapter with a commitment to quality, transparency, and making nutritious foods more affordable.

Our Royal Quinoa comes from Bolivia’s Southern Altiplano, at an extraordinary altitude of around 12,000 feet. The intense high-altitude sunlight, remarkable growing environment, and generations of farming knowledge give these nutritious Andean crops their distinctive character. We will highlight that heritage while strengthening clean ingredients, responsible production, food safety, and traceability from farm to table.

We plan to work closely with farming families to improve quality and productivity and support their transition toward Regenerative Organic Certified® production. Affordability will guide this transition: we want better practices to benefit farmers while keeping our products accessible to families.

Near the Uyuni Salt Flat, we plan to help farmers develop their own solar farms, using electricity revenues to support regenerative farming and create lasting income for their communities.

We also look forward to sharing more delicious foods from the High Andes. Our commitment to people and the environment will guide how we grow.
